Here is our British Comedy Awards live text, now preserved as an account of what happened on the evening. It was a terrific show with some worthy (and some not so worthy) winners, all listed below along with comments, tweets and thoughts on the awards.
———–
2324: Thanks for stopping by for the live text and all your contributions. I’ll leave you with Micky Flanagan’s thoughts that he let Angelos win so they could give the award to “the backwards fella”. Good Night!
2322: Not sure Miranda deserved it for 2011, but she’s a great actor. Fresh Meat could have probably taken most awards had the judges been generous!
2321: Nichola Ntim on Twitter: “Miranda won AGAIN,seriously? its beyond a joke now.All of the fresh meat actresses should’ve been nominated, they’re amazing!”
2319: Great to see Foster’s involved again tonight. Probably deserve a contribution to comedy award themselves!
2318: Did I mention I got quite a few of these categories right?! Voted for Millican in the sidebar too…
2317: Until then, you can catch the backstage goss on E4 now. Highlights have definitely been the Coogan & Iannucci speeches, Shooting Stars winning, and our voters getting it completely wrong as Sarah Millican takes the title of Queen of Comedy 2011.
2314: And just like that the awards have all been dished out. Our full opinion piece will be online tomorrow.

2224: I’m wrong. It hasn’t happened much tonight though (#predictionking2011). BBC Comedy on Twitter: “Shooting Stars bows out with a bang! Congrats to all!”. They did ignore the quote though, so I’m kind of right…right?
